What We Do
CanAfro Research Institute is distinguished by our Afrocentric Methodology – a research approach that marries Western academic rigor with Indigenous African research traditions. Developed and refined since our founding in 2019, this methodology ensures that our work is not only methodologically sound but also culturally grounded, ethically rooted, and responsive to the lived realities of African, Caribbean, and Black‑identifying (ACBi) communities. We do not simply apply generic frameworks; we co‑create knowledge with communities, centering their voices, wisdom, and self‑determination.
