Dr. Betty Asse brings a wealth of international expertise to our Board of Directors, having joined us in Summer 2026. An economist, Dr. Asse holds a Ph.D. in Economic Science from the University of Bordeaux, France, where her research focused on the critical intersection between structural economic change and the quality of institutions. Her academic work provides a deep understanding of how governance frameworks can either enable or hinder long-term economic development.

Fluent in both English and French, Dr. Asse operates as a truly global contributor, bridging Caribbean, European and North American perspectives. She currently contributes to our team from her base in Ottawa, Canada.
